bio
Jolene Schultz was born and raised in Des Moines, Iowa. Deciding that Iowa did not quite have a long enough winter season, she moved north to Minneapolis, Minnesota. Soon after that, she graduated from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design.

Jolene's inspirations include but are not limited to: discarded or abandoned items, overheard conversations, popular culture, funny things and/or people, changes in scenery, the inner-workings of the human brain, and politics. While creating her illustrations she religiously listens to public radio. She enjoys a good movie about zombies and she has a weird obsession with crossword puzzles.

Several of her clients include Z.Vex Effects, Picture Window Books, Air America Minnesota Radio, Creative Publishing International, Urban Threads, Cafe Patteen, and the Rake Magazine. Her work has been recognized and awarded by the Society of Illustrators of Los Angeles, CMYK Magazine, and Creative Quarterly.
